Why do I need an inventory done?
Following a catastrophic loss or burglary the replacement of your belongings will be in the hands of your insurance company. In order to accurately describe, evaluate and prove ownership of your lost possessions you will need a thorough home inventory to satisfy the insurance company prior to processing your claim. Not only will this speed up the claim process but it will also ensure that your settlement is complete with no forgotten items.
How much will a home inventory cost?
The cost of this service is dependant on a number of factors but is primarily based on the square footage of the household. We encourage you to call

When the time comes to inventory your home our specialists will accept payment of cash, certified cheque, Visa or Mastercard.
What can I expect on inventory day?
Our professional and bonded specialists will do a brief walk through of the premises and sit down with you the customer to discuss any special needs. Using digital imaging and computer technology, our specialists will move from room to room recording a permanent record of all your household belongings. The process can be completed within a matter of a few hours and will always be completed with minimal disruption.
Within
ten business days you will receive a printed copy of your records.
An additional two copies will be duplicated onto CD ROM, one stored in our fireproof vault and the other sent to you.
Now that your home inventory is complete, Urban Archives will gladly go the extra step and notify your insurance company that your household property is thoroughly documented and on file.
What if additional property is purchased after my home inventory is complete?
Every Urban Archives client is entitled up to one hour of free home inventory updating prior to the first anniversary date of their contract. Following the first year update, Urban Archives offers enrollment into the Account Update Program which entitles clients to a yearly update of household inventory for a nominal fee. |
